Parachute Mod 1.18.2/1.18/1.17.1/1.15.2 - Flying Over is Now Very Easy

Parachute Mod 1.18.2/1.18/1.17.1/1.15.2 adds a new item that when you drop or winnow from a place you can activate it by releasing a parachute to cushion the blow, it is a very practical mod to be able to get rid of high places!

Parachute Mod 1.14 is a very simple mod that adds to the game a new object, a parachute, which can be very useful in those moments when we are on the edge of a cliff and for whatever reason, we fall towards the depths. With this mod you could save the fall or death of your character, simply by opening the parachute.

We must be careful when approaching the walls while we are descending with it, because if we get too close, the parachute will close and we will fall unopposed. To use it, we only have to take it in the hand and press right click.

This new parachute design will be used going forward. While the old mods will still be available I will not be porting them to higher versions. Support will be limited for the older versions as well.

Features from Parachute Mod

New for 1.8.8 and higher! The Parachute Mod has been redesigned. It’s now called parachutemod-ng. “ng” for next generation of course. There is no longer a separate ripcord or AAD. The ripcord is not needed; activate by right clicking just like the old Hop-n-Pop. The Hop-n-Pop is no longer available. The AAD function is still available and can be activated in-game by right clicking with the parachute selected in the hot bar while on the ground or on the parachute. The parachute is much simpler to use. Also there is a GUI HUD when the player is on the parachute. Altitude and compass heading are displayed numerically. Also there is a light bar indicating the direction to your spawn point. The HUD texture is based on Eld’s GUI textures. This HUD has been replaced with an original design.

Turbulence while on the parachute! You can enable turbulence in the config GUI for that windy day effect. There is also a config option to enable/disable bad weather turbulence. If it’s raining the parachute gets blown around some, if it’s storming (thundering) there’s even more turbulence. Thanks to anxcon for this idea. The clear weather turbulence is disabled by default. The bad weather turbulence is enabled by default.

With this Parachute Mod you can enable thermals from lava. This is a configuration option. When you enable lava thermals the space bar thermals feature is no longer disabled, it is configurable now. You can rise by being over lava or with the space bar as well. Check out the config GUI for details.

There is only one canopy to choose from now. The parachute pack is worn as an armor chestplate, automatically worn when the parachute is selected. There is not a separate parachute pack item, it’s only eye-candy!

The Automatic Activation Device (AAD) functionality can be used to automatically deploy the parachute when reaching a certain altitude. Default is 10 meters above ground or water. There is also an option to deploy the parachute immediately after falling a minimum distance (3 meters). The AAD can be turned on/off by right clicking on the parachute while it is active in your inventory The item name will change to reflect the AAD status.
